Gargling My Heart

Week three, day eight of training for my 5k and I’m finishing up my longest run yet.  As I come to a stop and begin to walk the cool down portion of my training I can feel my heart pounding in my chest, my lungs are tight and I notice one other thing.  The distinct metallic taste of blood.  Is it possible that after all the shredding I did in the past few months with Jillian Michaels yelling at me that she wanted me to ‘gargle my heart’ that I’ve finally done it?

My Favorite Expression of the Moment

One of my many moments would be when my oldest son was about 3. He was very intelligent and could read and spell things like a 7 year old. My husband had been telling me over and over that I needed to watch what I was saying around Cole because he might start repeating it. I didn’t say really bad words, but stuff I probably should have censored. Lo and behold one afternoon I walked into the kitchen and written in refrigerator magnets was the phrase “holy crap” my favorite expression of the moment. I learned my lesson then and there!

Sour Milk “Perfume”

My parenting moment: I was all dressed up for a business dinner. I was taking my lil girl to Nanas to babysit for me, when as soon as I reached the door to nanas house, my lil miss pucked all over me & her. I did not have time to go home & change. I had to clean up in the bathroom as best as possible & go to the dinner smelling like sour milk! Yeah!
