Your Dad Is An Idiot

Posted by: , July 31, 2009 in 10:34 pm

Your Dad Is An IdiotWhen you first have kids, all you dream about as a parent, is for your kids to look up to you. You want to be able to set a good example; to be a?role model?of sorts. Maybe it’s an ego thing but it’s kind of like getting a second chance in life. It’s a second chance to be cool, if you were a nerd. It’s a second chance to be an athlete, if you weren’t so great at sports. It’s a second chance to be funny, if you weren’t exactly?Don Rickles. I mean, let’s be honest, our kids are a captive audience. For better or for worse, they are stuck with us. Living and learning from us is their birth right. We can be who we want to be and they have no choice in the matter. Our kids are completely susceptible to our?bullshit.

What You Talkin’ Bout Willis?

What You Talkin Bout Willis?I’ve said before, that talking to your kids, guarantees you at least one smile per conversation. Now that’s an ROI you can take to the bank. If you don’t agree, than you either don’t have kids or you’re just a shitty parent. It’s also possible that you’re a boring son of a bitch. The Fast Shower

Posted by: Brittany, July 31, 2009 in 12:08 pm

My toddler was at the age (and I guess she still isn’t) where you can’t leave her in the room to watch TV by herself but she is too old to be strapped to a baby seat so I would super, baby proof the bathroom so I could take a shower and sing an interactive rendition of Ole’ MacDonald complete with asking her what animal was on the farm and have her tell me what they said so I could make sure she would be entertained, conscious and not have anything in her mouth. Man, you can shower FAST in a situation like that! :) Now, I give her a bottle, turn on Curious George, sit her on the couch with Bunny and set up baby gates so she can only go into the spare bedroom or the bathroom (and hope for the best!)
