Words cannot express my deep, deep, deeeeeeeeeep (like the recesses of the ocean, where all those creepy eye-less fish live) desire to dine with you. Maybe here?Maybe in a withered cardboard box on my sidewalk. It really doesn’t matter. What matters is that I will not have to employ methods like timing you or racing you to get you to sit in your chair. It was really my laziness that started it all. I breastfed Michael from birth in our bed and then let him fall asleep next to me. Not wanting to get up again, I just let him stay. Everyone, including my husband, slept great. This went on for months. Then my mommy friends started in with the sleep talk. They were all letting their babies cry it out. Ferberizing apparently was the the thing to do. It seemed logical. I would be teaching Michael how to fall asleep on his own! Listening to your baby crying would be agonizing I was told, but it was harmless. It was my duty as a parent; a necessary ritual to ensure a peaceful nighttime experience for the whole family. Due to the SURPRISE! we received recently when we found out we were unexpectedly going to be parents for the third time, I compiled this list. I need to alright. I’m sicker than the last two and I was just fitting into my old clothes again from the second kid. Nards!
So here we go- Top Ten Reasons it’s Good to be Pregnant-Again!
1. New baby gear. Because I got rid of it all just six months ago when I thought we were done.
2. Shopping! Even if it’s for maternity clothes.
3. I get to eat as many bagels as I want and I don’t care. Seriously. I am going through them like their candy. I should buy stock in cream cheese while I’m at it.

There was a time when my two year-old only wanted me. I was her sun, moon and stars as I should be…I’m the one who went through labor and delivery for crying out loud! And while I did find it a tad irritating to hear her cry when I had to pee or moved momentarily out of view, I was generally overjoyed with the attention. I knew my daughter loved me always, but being adored by her in that way was intoxicating as a first time mom. I had never experienced anything quite like it before.

Imagine this: you come home after a long day at work and your husband yells, “YOUR BOSS CALLED TO TELL ME THAT YOU HAVEN’T FINISHED THAT PROJECT YET!!! I AM GOING TO SIT OVER YOU EVERY NIGHT UNTIL YOU GET IT DONE! AND YOU CAN FORGET ABOUT YOUR TENNIS GAME THIS WEEKEND!”
