Accident in Bath
As young mother I was 18 when my son was born, he is now 34. He was about 18 months old and the phone rang. Back then they didn’t have cordless phones. He was sitting up fine so I ran to grab the phone an said I would call them back and I was gone 10 seconds. I lived in a small trailer.
When I got back he was fine but he was splashing really hard an smacking at something. I didn’t put any toys in the bath yet, so I thought what is he playing with? To my horror, I saw about 7-8 little brown balls floating in the tub an he was splashing an smacking at them! They were little “turds!” OMG,I almost died! I snatched him up an scared him to death an he started screaming he was enjoying playing with them. I had to sit him down ,fish out the balls an drain the tub an refill it to give him another bath. What a mess!
And a lesson learned. Never, ever leave a child in a tub for a second. Oh he loves the story now when I tell it, but at the time I was horrified.
Lol, I was much better 10 years later when my daughter was born!
