Shelley Gershoni Cekirge
A New Yorker who recently found herself living in LA, Shelley is escaping the relentless west-coast sunshine by writing about her new favorite topic, her daughter Eliza. Prior to becoming Elizas mother Shelley was a performing artist and actor in New York City where she was founder and artistic director of the award-winning theatre company, PL115. Having graduated from University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Theatre Arts and Communications, Shelley moved to New York and eventually found her way onto the stage. After a few years in the theatre Shelley attended Columbias Master of Fine Arts program to continue developing her skills as a performer. She focuses on actor-generated work and has toured with her company to six countries with countless productions. Writing is a new love. So is motherhood.
