The Perfect Tummy Time
Every parent knows that “Tummy Time” is crucial for your baby’s strength and muscle growth, but a common Tummy Time problem is when your baby becomes frustrated with being simply plopped on a blanket on the floor. I quickly realized that my daughter would just cry every time I attempted to do Tummy Time if I wasn’t there to keep her occupied. I knew I had to remedy the situation fast, and so I did.
I call my answer to the perfect Tummy Time, “The 3 B’s”: A Baby Blanket Music CD, a Bestever Mat and a Bestever Hugga Pet.
1) First, I lay down my Bestever Bear Mat:
BESTEVER’s Baby Mats are silky smooth and snuggle perfect for lots of tummy time. They provide an instant 31-inch comfort zone, and their non-skid backing ensure that your baby won’t slip and slide while playing or stretching.
Their line of animal-themed Baby Mats are also very portable and easy to roll up, (so they’re great for travel), and are also machine washable. Bestever mats are available in several cuddly styles such as a bear, giraffe, monkey, zebra, lamb and frog.
2) Next, I grab my Bestever Hugga Pet Pillow:
The Bestever Hugga Pet is a perfect toy to throw in with tummy time. Giving your baby something to stretch and reach for is key for getting those back muscles moving.
Hugga Pets from Bestever are actually two products in one. They are oversized plush stuffed animals that transform into a functional pillow. (There is a clever Velcro closure at the bottom that when undone allows the animal to transform into that comfy pillow). Hugga pets are super soft, machine washable and are also great for naptime and travel!
You can find Bestever baby mats and Bestever Hugga Pets in specialty retail stores nationwide and also at shopbestever.com.
3) Lastly, I pop in my Baby Blanket Music CD:
Baby Blanket Music has a line of albums that feature soothing lullaby arrangements of your favorite artists, including: Billy Joel, Elton John, Madonna, Michael Jackson and Simon and Garfunkel.
Designed to soothe your baby while enhancing the enjoyment and cognition of music, Baby Blanket Music features familiar baby sounds like vibraphones and music boxes paired with a full medley of richer, more classical instruments including strings, woodwinds, pianos, harps and soft percussion. These CD’s are a great way to introduce your favorite tunes to your baby, while also making the music in your nursery as pleasurable as what you would want to hear in the rest of your home.
